The West Virginia State Freedom Caucus unilaterally condemns the deceitful attacks on Delegate Henry Dillon libelously claiming he is against veterans. During his time in the Legislature, Delegate Dillon has been a staunch defender of West Virginia and has fought tirelessly for our values.

Delegate Dillon joined his conservative colleagues in voting against the annual budget, which increased the size of the government and grossly wasted taxpayer money. Now, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce has taken his vote against the budget as a whole and conflated that with voting against veterans. This is a blatantly deceitful tactic.

Among the people most disgusted with the attacks on Delegate Dillon are our very own veterans in the caucus. “Veterans like I appreciate leaders like Henry Dillon who are willing to fight for conservative principles and stand against corruption. The Chamber of Commerce has no credibility to speak on behalf of veterans, and in fact, they are a main driver of corruption in Charleston,” said Delegate Bill Ridenour, a member of the Freedom Caucus, retired Marine, and retired defense intelligence officer.

Tactics like these are what corrupt, leftist special interest groups in Charleston (like the Chamber of Commerce) resort to in order to get their puppets in office. West Virginians deserve true representation, and we have that with Henry Dillon.
